Calibration Kit

The force generated by the solenoids on your Oral Wear Simulator is remarkably constant with time and usage. Periodically measuring these force levels is important part of ensuring accurate results of your wear research. Proto-tech offers a custom load cell package to assist in calibrating your machines. The package consists of an accurate Interforce 100N cantilever load cell, which attaches directly to your loading frame. It is connected to an amplifier and digital readout to give you direct measurements of the force produced at each wear station.

With the motor stopped, the triggers for the abrasion force and attrition force are activated manually to register their individual load values. The signal from the load cell is conditioned and amplified and displayed on the electronic module. The system is accurate to within 0.1 N.

The system is powered by 110 or 220V AC and is easily portable. It features an analog output and is useful for other applications such as mechanical testing and weighing. The price for the system is $1800, plus shipping and handling.
